Ghosted

i reached out to two previous winners to see if they had plans on entering again this year. would love to chat with them about the house, tips on winning, lumber liquidators, etc. unfortunately neither of them has responded yet.

Room Review: Master Bathroom

"Shades of green, gray and wood tones combine for a mountain modern design that brings Montana luxury into every corner of this master bathroom."

- Home and Garden Television

i picked the master bathroom for my first Room Review. some of the things boasted by this room are:

  • open concept
  • natural elements
  • vintage details
  • streamlined style
  • tranquil flooring

i don't know what any of that means but the room looks cool. one of the things i'm most excited about in this room is the spa style shower heads in the walk-in shower. i'm 100% using both of them each time i shower. might even try to see if i could take a bath and have the shower rain down on me while i'm in there. water bill might be a bit expensive but that's the cost of luxury.

beautiful double vanity here. i probably wont keep the flowers they have in there (are those included?), seems like they would just get in the way. i don't have wife to share it with so all that extra space will be nice. here's what i'm thinking:

left side
  • toothbrush (electric)
  • toothpaste
  • mouthwash
right side
  • face wash
  • hand soap
  • lotion
top left drawer
  • extra toothbrush heads
  • floss
top right drawer
  • razor
  • electric razor (philips norelco)
  • shaving cream
  • after shave
  • cologne

the rest of the drawers will hold hand towels or something, i'll have to do some more thinking. actually, as i write this i'm wondering if all of these drawers are functional or if some/all of them are fake? will try to reach out to HGTV to see if i can get an answer to that.

overall i really dig the tasteful palette of this room. i'm looking forward to taking some hangover showers with the spa style shower heads.

room rating: 7.2/10

Good Morning

today was not like any other morning. today i woke up with a chance to win a rustic escape tucked into the northwest montana mountains. i'm talking about the HGTV Dream Home 2019 baby, and i'm going to win it this year.

i will be posting every day and entering twice daily (once on hgtv.com and once on diynetwork.com) starting today through february 18th, for a total of 106 entries. to make sure i don't miss any days, i have taken the following precautions:
  1. set the chrome HGTV entry page as my home page
  2. created an alarm that will go off at 5pm every day reminding me to enter

so best of luck to anyone else that enters. but know that i am going to win
